‘Framing’ History

This collection was inspired by a visit to the Holburne museum in Bath - I took the most inspiration from the vintage ornate frames, the small details on fine China and small ties on dress in historic paintings. My collection then grew from the subject matter or vintage to modern, into a series of colourful digital prints.

When creating my designs I used software such as Procreate and Photoshop to help achieve and refine my designs, creating repeats, experimenting with different colourways and bringing my design to life.

My designs were then digitally printed and transformed into commercial products, along with some thought for swing tags, that I felt best reflected my designs, sometimes testing my sewing skills! I chose to design a cushion, tea towel, scrunchies, and plates.
