This brief was to create a summer-themed collection, focusing on a specific place that you hold dear. It just had to be Italy in summer for me! So I went to Italy!

I took photographs to reference from, specifically focusing on images that would help me choose a colour palette and immersed myself in Italian life for 2 weeks…this was research above and beyond! I focused on things I love about Italian culture - vespers, fresh lemonade and ice cream, bubbles in drinks and small architectural markings and features. I felt the use of watercolour best encompassed this.

I then created 2 examples of my designs as products in appropriate settings.
